The Strategy Analyst, Market & Strategic Intelligence fills an essential role in the overall success of UCI Health. This position will lead and conduct data analytic functions to support UCI Health's Strategy and Performance Management teams as well as other departments across the organization. The incumbent performs with a high level of judgement and discretion to define, develop, and implement work related to data sourcing, availability, usage, maintenance, and application, and promotes the quality of data across the team. The incumbent supports several projects including data management, data modeling and visualization, dashboard development, service line planning, and network opportunities. This includes leveraging internal and external data sources to assess healthcare industry and market trends, service line trends, forecasts, and demographics. This position addresses complex healthcare business questions and supports strategic decision making throughout the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage complex information, assess problems, and develop effective solutions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, Access and PowerPoint
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
In-depth knowledge of business intelligence functions, advanced analytics, industry standards and best practices
Good team leadership and motivational skills and good creative problem solving skills
Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, or other business intelligence data tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Effective communicator able to understand the needs of a variety of audience members and tailor a message accordingly
Bachelors degree in related area and/or equivalent experience and training
Analytical ability to develop, analyze and interpret application of data
Advanced knowledge and skill in internal databases, BI applications, tools, and systems.
Ability to plan, set expectations (for self and others), and accomplish multiple objectives within specific timeframes.
Ability to manage risk and ambiguity on a project
Ability to maintain an organized approach, clarity of purpose, and goal orientation in a rapidly changing environment involving multiple stakeholders of various levels from throughout the organization.
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Experience working with large and complex datasets
Experience creating dashboards and data visualizations
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in mapping software, such as ArcGIS
Knowledge of healthcare market, government rules and regulations
Experience working with market claims data and claims data tools
Proficiency in statistical data analysis
