Western Kentucky University, Department of Athletics, is seeking applications for Men’s Golf Graduate Assistant beginning January 15, 2025. This position reports to the Men’s Golf Head Coach. Applicants must have a commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of WKU, Conference USA and the NCAA.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are customary for this position, but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs.
Coach and assist practice sessions, workouts, and athletic events
Plan and supervise training plans for student-athletes under the supervision of staff.
Be available to domestically travel for recruiting and communicate with PSAs
Assist in official/unofficial visits on campus
Develop a comprehensive and functional knowledge of the sport, and maintain thorough and continual familiarity with all applicable University, Conference USA, and NCAA rules and regulations
Assist with team travel planning and meals.
Assist with team equipment inventory, ordering and issue.
Assist with team analytics and practice planning.
Assist in the implementation of the academic program, including the monitoring of individual student-athlete's progress to ensure academic eligibility, the enforcement of study and tutorial programs, and referral to appropriate University academic resources
Work with student-athletes and monitor adherence to rules and regulations concerning conduct, appearance, and behavior
Assist other tasks as assigned by the Head Coach

Compensation: $1,100 stipend, paid monthly. Scholarship will cover full tuition expenses for two classes per semester. Does not cover course related fees or textbooks. The candidate must have earned a bachelor’s degree and be admitted as a full-time student in any graduate program at Western Kentucky University, effective Winter 2025.
