NJCAA Membership: •Oversees and leads day-to-day operations of membership management including renewals, new member onboarding and cultivation. •Maintain and update membership database to ensure we have, at a minimum, current President and Athletic Director contact information. •Track membership dues as they come in to provide real-time counts for executive team and board members at any given point in time. •Oversees and leads day-to-day operations, planning, execution, and follow-up of annual Convention and other special events, including but not limited, to board committee visits and summer seminar. •Work with Assistant Vice President of Marketing, Development and Community Relations and his team, vendors, sponsors, and sports committees to set up meetings and create opportunities to develop more content that will add depth and value to the annual convention, including but not limited to continued development of the Aspiring Leaders portion of the Annual Meeting. •Oversees and leads operations of Board of Regents including but not limited to maintaining Board of Regents portal; maintaining and updating Governance page of the NJCAA website; Coordinate regular communication to NJCAA Board of Regents, including apprising Board of general updates of NJCAA happenings; in conjunction with Leadership, develops and coordinates Board of Regents and sub committees meeting calendars; and working alongside Board of Regents directors to develop agendas.
Qualifications – Education, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor’s degree required, a focus on business, sports management, or hospitality management preferred.
Previous experience in membership management and/or community college administration preferred.
Experience with Salesforce or other CRMs preferred.
Demonstrated customer service, organization, leadership, planning, and conflict management.
A good command of Microsoft Office, fundraising software and current social media platforms preferred.
The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to establish positive donor relations and to interact effectively with staff, donors, sponsors, partners, and the public.
The ability to establish and maintain collaborative, effective working relationships with team members, member colleges, athletic directors, student-athletes and the public.
Problem solving skills, judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in evaluating information.
The ability to write effectively and efficiently.
The ability to work as an individual and as part of a team.
Must be efficient and organized with a high level of attention to detail.
