Job Responsibilities
The Sales Lead, New England Appraisal Services will help grow our Appraisal Services division in New England by guiding Towns & Cities through the project contracting process. This role will collaborate closely with the Director of Appraisal Sales, the Appraisal team, and the Software Sales team to grow revenue.
Key roles & responsibilities include:
Owning the overall performance of our New England Appraisal revenue stream
Managing all appraisal opportunities within CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, and VT
Proactively guiding opportunities through the sales pipeline, from early stage through close
Coordinating and leading onsite meetings with prospects and current clients + attending regional events and conferences to nurture relationships
Taking a consultative approach to sales, guiding communities through an often-cyclical purchasing process. Provides and explains appraisal scope options with nuance. No high pressure sales here!
Actively participating in pricing projects, creating proposals, and developing contracts
Logging and organizing pipeline activity in Vision’s client database (Salesforce)
Partnering with our Appraisal team to build workplans that balance revenue growth, deliverability, and quality of service
Partnering with Marketing to support activities such as events, webinars, and customer spotlights
Success in this role will be defined by positive impact on revenue generation, measured by signed contracts and a corresponding pipeline of sales opportunities.
Who We Are Looking For
The right person for this role will have demonstrated the following skills and traits whether in their past or in the interview process:
If coming from a Sales background:
5 or more years of sales experience
Demonstrated success independently managing a sales pipeline
The willingness to learn the Mass Appraisal industry
If coming from an Appraisal or Assessing background:
5 or more years of Assessing or Appraisal experience
A desire to learn the Vision sales process, focused on Appraisal
Strong relationships in the local assessment community
And in all cases:
Strong communication skills and desire to be in a client-facing role
Exceptional organization and attention to detail
The ability to manage multiple opportunities at once
Willingness to travel and be in-person with clients (locally within New England) 50 – 60% of the time, mostly day trips
