Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Coaching: Assists the head diving coach in all aspects of coaching, including, but not limited to, preparation of training plans, technical feedback, video analysis, pulling belts and goal-setting. The Graduate Assistant will also be responsible for taking over coaching duties when the Head Diving Coach is required to travel, or cannot otherwise attend practice.

Video capture and data tracking: Assists the head diving coach with video capture from training sessions and competition. The Graduate Assistant is responsible for the organization and dissemination of video/information to athletes. The Graduate Assistant will also help track and record relevant performance data throughout the season.

Recruiting: Assist the head diving coach in recruiting, including making and setting up calls, texts and official visits as wells as coordinating logistics during prospective student-athletes’ visits to campus.

Logistics: Works with Swimming and Diving coaching staff during home and travel competitions to fulfill team logistics needs.

Qualifications for this position include: a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline, a background in athletics, intent to work in collegiate coaching, excellent written and oral communication skills, a strong self-starter, excellent organizational skills, and great attention to detail.  As working in the field of collegiate athletics is not limited to a traditional work week, the candidates must be willing to work nights and weekends and expend extra effort to obtain the full experience possible from the position.

Preferred Qualifications: 4 years experience as an NCAA Division I student-athlete. 2 years of coaching experience at any level.

This is a 12-month position beginning August 1, 2025, summer 2025 if possible. It is renewable for a second year based on satisfactory academic and professional performance. Applicants must be admitted to a University of Missouri graduate program prior to the position start date. The successful applicant will be provided with a tuition waiver and a monthly stipend.
