Hematology/Oncology Physician Opportunity – Pittsburgh VA Healthcare System – Altoona or Erie, PA

Description: The VISN 4 Western Market (WM) is building a high performing healthcare network for Veterans served by the Altoona, Butler, Erie, and Pittsburgh VA medical centers. We are recruiting two (2) Full-time Physicians specializing in Hematology/Oncology to join our growing program. One Medical Oncologist will be located at Erie VA. One Medical Oncologist will be located at Altoona VA. Applicants should select all work locations they would like consideration for during the electronic application process. We are seeking candidates with excellent clinical skills and experience in the full range of care in Hematology/Oncology. This is an incredible opportunity to be part of an exciting initiative to expand care for Veterans throughout Western Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas.
Practice Highlights:
- The incumbent has clinical, teaching, and administrative responsibilities under the guidance and direction of the Chief of Hematology/Oncology.
- Management of hematology/oncology patients in the outpatient, inpatient consult, inpatient coverage, and telehealth setting.
- Supervision and instruction of Hematology/Oncology APPs.
- Participation in multidisciplinary meetings.
- Conducting and enrolling patients into clinical trials.
