As a member of the athletic communications staff, serve as a contact for athletic communications, promotions, marketing and branding efforts for the sports assigned. Create solutions and ideas to promote and market programs across all traditional and “new” media platforms. Design, write and produce Web Guides, news releases and other printed material. Compile statistics and maintain records. Report statistics and information to the Horizon League and NCAA offices. Nominate and promote student-athletes for conference, regional and All-America honors. Assist with content/maintenance of the goldengrizzlies.com athletics website, as well as photography archives. Provide information to and develop relationships with local, regional and national media. Promote the overall vision for entire athletics program.
Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, sport management, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Previous experience with athletic communications/sports information experience at the NCAA Division I collegiate level and/or professional level.
Working knowledge of an intercollegiate athletic department.
Perform all job duties in a manner consistent with NCAA, conference and University rules, regulations, ordinances, policies, procedures and guidelines.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with others.
Adobe InDesign and Photoshop experience, as well as NCAA Live Stats/Genius and StatCrew knowledge.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the University by the University’s insurance carrier.
