UCF Athletics at the University of Central Florida, an NCAA Division I institution and American Athletic Conference (The American) member, is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Director, Strategic Communications.

Under the direction of the Senior Associate AD, Strategic Communications and the Assistant AD, Strategic Communications, the selected candidate assists in the day-to-day management of the Strategic Communications department within UCF, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; serving as the primary media contact for men's basketball and other sports programs as assigned; planning and implementing communications strategies for men's basketball and assigned sports; travel and gameday operations; and promoting UCF Athletics through the official website, social media and with local, regional and national media.

Minimum qualifications: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two (2) years of appropriate experience. Prefer communications / sports information experience at the collegiate level or higher. Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite, and StatCrew/Genius software, as well as strong communication, organization, writing, editing and social media skills also preferred. As a UCF Athletics staff member, the selected candidate will be a person of integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference, and institutional rules as they apply to the UCF Athletics program.
