A defined career path exists. Based on experience, the successful candidate will be hired into one of two levels of professional opportunity: Director of Athletic Marketing or Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and will be given opportunity to progress through the career path by achieving defined performance objectives once employed.
Impact & Responsibilities: Primary duties for Director of Athletic Marketing: develops and oversees the implementation of successful marketing plans for intercollegiate athletic teams and events; prepares and executes detailed game scripts including music direction, video content, public address announcements, spirit squads and other resources to deliver a high-quality fan experience for assigned sports; promotes revenue generation opportunities; develops and oversees the departments advertising plans; supervises athletic marketing students; serves as a liaison for campus spirit groups; and coordinates licensing program and departments donation requests. Additional duties required for Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in marketing, sports management, business or related field; at least one year of marketing experience*. Student experience will be considered. Occasional travel and frequent night and weekend work will be necessary.
*Additional experience required for Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing position.
Preferred: Experience in athletic marketing and gameday promotions.
