Augustana University (SD) is seeking qualified applicants for a Athletic Operations Graduate Assistant position, a 12-month position within our Athletic/ESS department.
Duties include, but are not limited to: •The graduate assistant will work closely with our athletic administrative team to assist with the operational needs of a NCAA Division II athletic department, and will receive invaluable experience working with our programs, student-athletes, coaches, and campus staff. •Assist with general athletic departmental operations •Assist the department with all game operational duties to includes venue set-up and tear-down, fan engagement and management, and supervision of student and game-day workers. •Assists with management and fulfillment of sponsorships, ensuring that all signage and other inventory is properly implemented and assists with sponsorship pitch creation •Assists with select A-Club events and other donor-based initiatives •Assist Compliance with eligibility reviews, CARA logs, progress towards degree requirements, general ARMS software usage, NCAA compliance assistant, and any other compliance related duties as assigned •Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: •A bachelor’s degree is required •Strong communication (written and verbal), organizational, and interpersonal skills •Proficient in computer application knowledge and demonstrates initiative Preferred Qualifications: •A knowledge of athletic operations (i.e., compliance, game day management, fundraising, marketing, promotions) through an internship or undergraduate experience. •Admission into Augustana University’s Master’s program
