Florida International University in Miami is seeking applications for a Account Executive Ticket Sales. FIU is a member of Conference USA and offers eighteen (17) NCAA Division I sports programs. The successful candidate will perform sales functions to generate meetings, conferences, and events. Establishes and maintains profitable relationships with customers and actively prospects new business opportunities.
Works closely with Director of Ticket Sales to ensure an optimum customer service experience for the clients.
Develops and implements a sales plan to ensure maximum revenues is generated. Prepares sales reports for the Director of Ticket Sales.
Conducts research on prospective clients. Generates sales through client leads and community development.
Sells season & group tickets for football and all other ticketed sports. Serves as contact person for and during events when necessary.
Manages and maintains a prospect and opportunity pipeline to achieve annual sales targets and performance metrics.
Adheres to all State of Florida, University, NCAA, Conference USA, and department rules and policies. Reports any known NCAA violations or concerns to the Director of Athletic Compliance and be responsible for the monitoring of any subordinate as it relates to NCAA regulations.
Serves as a University card user for departmental transactions. Adheres to University credit card policies and procedures. Handles cash transactions as needed. Performs other related duties as required or directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
