This position works with a wide range of on-campus programs and must not only adhere to university policies and procedures but also to NCAA and Conference rules and regulations. This position will provide counseling and mentoring to student-athletes regarding academic, athletic, career, and identify at-risk student-athletes. The long range impact of this position is critical in providing services which enhance the retention and graduation rates of the student athletes. The academic success or failure of student-athletes receives a great deal of public scrutiny and significantly impacts the University's reputation. The success of this position relies heavily on relationships with coaches, student athletes, faculty, and staff.
Master's degree with one (1) year of experience in student advisement, mentoring, or education. Or, Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in student advisement, mentoring, or education.
Preference given to candidates with higher education and NCAA Athletics experience.
