Job Title: Mountaineer Athletic Club Graduate Assistant Department: Intercollegiate Athletics Reports To:Program Assistant II, Mountaineer Athletic Club Two Positions: (1) One Year (1) Two Year
Summary: Responsible for assigned activities for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at West Virginia University with a focus on assisting with duties within the Mountaineer Athletic Club. Graduate assistants are expected to dress professionally, handle multiple tasks in high stress environments, possess strong interpersonal skills, and maintain the ability to work some nights and weekends. All graduate assistants will have responsibilities at football and men’s basketball games, as well as special events, and will be expected to learn and use Paciolan, Blackbaud CRM, Word, Excel, Photoshop, and InDesign.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities as Mountaineer Athletic Club Graduate Assistant include the following:
•Assist with enrollment and processing of Mountaineer Athletic Club memberships
•Assist with the planning and execution of special events
•Assist in content creation and social media strategy
•Respond to phone and e-mail inquiries related to the Mountaineer Athletic Club in a timely manner
•Assist in endowment stewardship process
•Assists in fulfillment of benefits for sport-specific giving, Time2Climb, etc.
•Assist with annual giving – priority seating and parking
•Assist with invoices, renewals and balance due communications
•Assists with premium seating spaces for football and men’s basketball games
•Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Develop specific working knowledge of relevant Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and WVU Foundation computer systems necessary in completion of day-to-day business.
Maintain knowledge of and comply with all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines of WVU Foundation Inc., West Virginia University, the Big 12 Conference and the NCAA. Must adhere to NCAA Bylaw 11 .1 -Conduct of Athletic Personnel. Failure to adhere to these policies will result in appropriate disciplinary action including possible suspension and termination.

Maintain high standard of ethics and integrity related to intercollegiate athletics
Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics
Proactive attitude towards work and assignments
Ability to maintain proper unit attendance and punctuality standards, work extended hours including nights and weekends
Demonstrated knowledge of correct English, grammar, spelling, punctuation and sentence structure
Ability to stay abreast of information impacting the affected area
