UCF Athletics at the University of Central Florida, an NCAA Division I institution and American Athletic Conference (The American) member, is seeking applications for the position of Staff Assistant, Strategic Communications.
Under the direction of the Assistant AD, Strategic Communications, the selected candidate assists in the day-to-day management of the Strategic Communications department within UCF, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; serving as the primary media contact for assigned programs, planning and implementing communications strategies for assigned sports; travel and gameday operations; and promoting UCF Athletics through the official website, social media and with local, regional and national media.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two (2) years of appropriate experience. Prefer communications / sports information experience at the collegiate level or higher. Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite, and StatCrew/Genius software, as well as strong communication, organization, writing, editing and social media skills also preferred.
