The Assistant Athletics Director for Media Partnerships, Distribution and Revenue for Notre Dame Athletics and Fighting Irish Media (FIM) will lead the strategy for driving revenue and distribution through FIM's many facets of content creation. In doing so, this person (and their team) will be specifically in-charge of managing all current and future external brand partners with the Notre Dame Athletics multimedia rights group, campus and athletic department partners, direct to consumer content models and oversight of all asset licensing (photo, video, location) for the entire Athletic Department.
Day-To-Day Role Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of three individuals to be professional, team-oriented and innovative in their day-to-day responsibilities
- Oversee leadership of emerging media opportunities throughout the Athletics ecosystem
- Work cohesively with other members of Athletics leadership to expand the Notre Dame brand and reach
- Oversee creation and implementation of Athletics-wide content/distribution plan that reaches our fan base and aligns with our partnership goals
- Serve as liaison between FIM and multimedia rights group, and all brand media activations as it relates to Notre Dame Athletics platforms
- Serve as the main FIM point of contact (or a delegate from team) with all existing and future brand partnerships with special emphasis on:
- Multimedia rights partner (Notre Dame Global Partnerships)
- Official University apparel partner (Under Armour)
- Serve as creative lead for brand integration with external partners and FIM content
- Drive revenue by designing, planning and execution of partner content collaboration
- Direct the development of new FIM sponsorships by establishing clear strategies, developing action plans and overseeing the execution to best promote brands
- Identify potential sponsorship opportunities within the current FIM content structure
- Partner with NDGP to actively identify new brands that align with the mission of FIM
Management Oversight:
- Digital Platform Manager (oversight of web, mobile, OTT and digital ecosystems)
- Director of Social Media
- Content & Licensing Manager
Digital Platform Manager:
- Oversee creation and management of Notre Dame Athletics' owned and operated digital platforms (i.e. official website, mobile app, OTT platform)
- Oversee strategy and operation of YouTube channel presence and growth strategy
- Oversee weekly analytics reporting
- Oversee digital distribution ecosystem planning
- Work directly with ticketing, marketing, etc., to hit departmental revenue goals
Director of Social Media:
- Work in conjunction Business vertical of Athletics, focusing on Revenue Generation, to:
- Support comprehensive paid media strategies
- Utilize awareness of social media marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help support future marketing strategies
- Understand social trends and insights, and contribute to performance optimization based on the insights
- Manage the organic strategy on utilizing our athletic department digital accounts for business & partnerships (both internal and external)
- Work directly with ticketing, marketing, etc., to hit departmental revenue goals
Content & Licensing Manager:
- Manage all communication (both internal + external) as it relates to licensing Notre Dame Athletic media assets
- Negotiate rates based on licensing terms.
- Work closely with University constituents (i.e. licensing and archives)
