Andrew College has teamed up with Bechler Leadership in the search for their next Sports Information Director.
Basic Responsibilities: Reporting to the Athletic Director, the SID is responsible for oversight of a comprehensive public relations program and serving as the primary media contact for the Colleges' 14 sports as part of the athletics program. The position will oversee distribution of all department related news releases, game statistics reporting, production of department publications, and other duties as assigned by the AD. The position requires the ability to handle an irregular work schedule, including evenings, and weekends.
Essential Functions
Adhere to College and Associational Governing Body policies and procedures.
Supervise all Sports Information support staff for home athletics contests. Secure necessary arrangements for media, scouts, officials, statisticians and other press box personnel for home games.
Prepares and distributes athletic contest statistics, including team and individual performance statistics. Prepares and maintains accurate data sets, photo files, and other student information. Plans and coordinates the preparation and distribution of athletic publications including news releases, sports brochures, program brochures, media guides, newsletters, weekly media advisories, game results, and related publications for athletics.
Consistently updates the Andrew College Athletics social media pages and website with pertinent and engaging information, while interacting with page followers to positively promote Andrew College Athletics and student-athletes.
Cooperate with college athletic staff in directing the preparation of facilities to be used in competition for home contests.

Maintain confidentiality with office and department related issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills plus computer proficiency preferred.
Ability to take the initiative and work on multiple projects at a time required.
Experience in print lay-out, desktop publishing, web page design and sport broadcasting is highly desired.
A working knowledge of sport statistics software is also required.
Physical Characteristics
Punctual, regular and consistent attendance.
Frequent sitting.
Work is primarily indoors.
Significant evening, night and week-end work required.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Some travel is required.
