This internship will provide the opportunity to experience the external relations field in one of the premier Division I collegiate athletic conference offices. This position will be exposed to and involved in the ongoing development of West Coast Conference initiatives and provide hands-on experience and learning opportunities.  

Principal Functions: 

Assist with the Conference&#8217;s external relations efforts. Examples of associated tasks include:

&#8226; Support the Conference&#8217;s strategic communications efforts, contributing to projects related to the promotion of the Conference and member institutions.

&#8226; Serve as the primary communications contact for designated sports, promoting programs with media, writing news releases, managing statistics, maintaining record books, and contributing to the administration of awards.

&#8226; Write weekly recaps and awards releases and update content on WCCsports.com.

&#8226; Contribute to conference record keeping efforts related to achievements, statistics, and other communications projects.

&#8226; Contribute to the coverage of events throughout the academic year.

&#8226; Assist with digital network broadcast administration.

&#8226; Contribute to archival process of external assets, including publications, record books, photos and sponsorship placement.

&#8226; Assist with execution of social media strategy.

&#8226; Assist with planning and coverage of championship events, including participation onsite at select events. 

&#8226; Participate in planning meetings and video conferences with conference staff and membership with the opportunity to present on coverage of assigned sports. 

Additional Information.

The start date of the internship is tentatively August 3, 2026, and the end date is June 30, 2027. This is a 20-hour-a-week internship with hours arranged with a supervisor. The intern will be paid $18.00/hour, and the internship does not include benefits.

This position will be based out of the WCC Office in San Bruno, CA. Some travel will be required.

								<description>Columbia, Kentucky,  Lindsey Wilson University, located in Columbia, Kentucky, is seeking applicants for a Sports Information graduate assistant position. Lindsey Wilson, a member of the Mid-South Conference and the NAIA, sponsors twenty-eight sports and has 800+ student-athletes participating in the various programs. 

Duties include but are not limited to the following: game management, broadcasting, marketing, and promotion, collecting statistical data, writing press releases, managing athletics website, working at special events and other duties assigned by the Sports Information Director. 

Review of applications will begin immediately. A bachelor&#8217;s degree and valid driver&#8217;s license is required; experience in a sports information department preferred. The selected candidate will receive a $5000 stipend, graduate tuition at LWU (18 hours/year), on-campus housing, and meals for their service.
