Vernon, Georgia,  Brewton-Parker Christian University has teamed up with Bechler Leadership in the search for a Sports Information Director DESCRIPTION:&#xa0; Brewton-Parker Christian University has an immediate opening for a Sports Information Director (SID).&#xa0; The SID will be responsible for leading the athletic department&#8217;s communication efforts and working to actively promote Brewton-Parker Christian University&#8217;s teams, coaches, and student-athletes.&#xa0; The SID will supervise two Assistant Sports Information Directors. 
 The successful applicant will agree to BPCU Athletics &#8220;Lifestyle Standard Agreement&#8221;. The program will be conducted in accordance with all Brewton-Parker Christian University, SSAC, and NAIA regulations and policies, and must promote the mission and vision of Brewton-Parker Christian University as well as the goals and objectives of the athletic department.

								<description>Macon, Georgia,  Mercer University is accepting applications for an Athletics Communications Graduate Assistant position for the 2026-27 academic year. Located in Macon, Ga., Mercer is a full member of the Southern Conference (SoCon) and sponsors 17 Division I sports.
 
Responsibilities include, but are not confined to: Serving as the primary media contact for four sports (volleyball, m/w cross country, women&#8217;s basketball, men&#8217;s lacrosse). Ensuring MercerBears.com and all assigned sports platforms are up-to-date in a timely manner for fans and media. Producing press releases and game notes, coordinating interviews for coaches and players, keeping and updating statistics and historical records.
  
This is a two-year assistantship with an estimated start date of July 15, 2026. All successful applicants must meet the admission requirements for Mercer&#8217;s Graduate School and will be awarded a monthly stipend and housing/utilities, plus tuition, books and fees.
  
 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 
&#8226; Serve as the primary media contact for four sports (volleyball, m/w cross country, women&#8217;s basketball, men&#8217;s lacrosse), acting as liaison to assess and fulfill their publicity and media needs 
&#8226; Oversee all social media content (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) and assist in the creation of content, including graphics and video, for primary sports with an emphasis on creative story telling. 
&#8226; Manage content on MercerBears.com including press releases, photos, bios and schedules for primary sports. 
&#8226; Assist in the production of graphic and video content for MercerBears.com and respective social media channels. 
&#8226; Maintain historical records, statistics and archives for primary sports.
&#8226; Manage game day/meet day operations for primary sports and assist in game operations for other sports as needed. 
&#8226; Evening and weekend hours with some travel 
&#8226; Other duties as assigned, including various research projects and game operations. QUALIFICATIONS 
 
 Minimum of one year experience in an intercollegiate athletic media relations/communications office. 
 Must be self-motivated with attention to detail and accuracy 
 Familiarity with SIDEARM web site maintenance, and Adobe Creative Suite 
 Working knowledge of video editing software is preferred. 
 Working knowledge of various NCAA Live Stats software packages 
 Experience in writing and editing with knowledge of AP style.

 REQUIREMENTS 
 
 Bachelor&#8217;s degree 
 Preferred qualifications include a minimum of one year experience in intercollegiate athletics media relations/sports information work (student experience accepted) 
 Experience in desktop publishing with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop software 
 Experience in writing and social media 
 Familiarity with NCAA Live Stats software 
 Self-motivated, strong work ethic and strong communications skills 
 All candidates should possess the ability to meet deadlines and work nights/weekends. 
 Priority will be given to those with demonstrated experience in a media relations office.
