We’re launching a brand-new Lacrosse Program for Summer 2026 and we’re looking for an enthusiastic, experienced leader to bring it to life! As well as a Basketball Program, that we are looking for a director for also.

Position Overview The Area Director will design and lead a program for campers ages 7–15. This is an exciting opportunity to build a program, creating the curriculum, leading practices, and mentoring a team of college-aged counselors who will assist in instruction.

The ideal candidate loves working with kids, thrives in a community environment, and is passionate about growing the game of lacrosse in a fun and positive way.

Responsibilities Develop and implement a daily program curriculum for various skill levels. Assist in marketing efforts as it relates to the program. Organize and supervise practices, games, and tournaments. Manage and mentor a team of college-aged athlete counselors. Create an encouraging environment focused on skill-building and teamwork. Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in alignment with camp policies.

Qualifications
Strong background in lacrosse/basketball (playing and/or coaching experience required).
Experience working with children in a camp, recreation, or school setting.
Leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage a small team.
Energetic, responsible, and enthusiastic attitude.

Nestled in the Catskill Mountains, 90 minutes North of New York City, we are a family owned, family run, co-ed, overnight camp where literally everyone knows every body. Approximately 300 campers, ranging from ages 6-16, and 125 staff members call Kennybrook their second home each summer. Our staff is made up of long-term adult educators and college-age leaders, and many of our counselors are former Kennybrook campers.
