Summary:
The Technical Sales Manager - Vac Services, reporting within our manufacturing division, will lead sales situations, serve as the technical liaison, ensure the professional development of sales opportunities, and guarantee smooth sales cycles that address both customer and company needs effectively. Responsibilities:
Drive sales of repair services and remanufactured products and manage sales situations
Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and independently to design strategies that maximize customer satisfaction
Provide specific quotations for services and products
Identify new markets and opportunities
Communicate technical aspects of opportunities to the operations team
Train RSMs on selected technical products and services, and support them in presentations, technical assistance, and customer engagement.
Participate in RFQ submissions and bidding processes
Regularly report on sales opportunities with detailed analysis
Travel throughout North America to visit customers and coordinate with RSMs to grow the Vac Service business (30% to 60%)
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences or equivalent
Strong technical sales aptitude and customer networking skills
A proven track record of successful direct sales or sales management experience or comparable industry experience
Well organized with strong communication, negotiation and computer skills (Inc. MS Office)
Travel to customer locations from their respective base of operations (30-60% travel required)
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science
Knowledge of the vacuum and thin film industry
