Springfield College seeks applications for an Assistant Professor to serve as Program Director for and faculty member in the Athletic Leadership master’s program within the Department of Physical Education and Health Education. This is a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track appointment within the School of Physical Education, Performance, and Sport Leadership beginning Fall 2026.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach graduate-level Athletic Administration and/or Coaching Education courses, including Leadership in Athletics Seminar and Athletic Administration. The candidate will serve as the Program Director for the thriving Athletic Leadership master’s program, which will involve recruiting and advising students, coordinating fieldwork, engaging alumni, and completing on-going outcomes assessment. Supervision of research for master’s and doctoral students will also be incorporated.
Required Qualifications:
- Candidates for this position will have an earned doctorate from a regionally accredited institution in Athletic Administration, Coaching Education, Physical Education, or a related discipline. - Expertise in the field, demonstrated excellence in teaching, and commitment to scholarly and service activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preference will be given to candidates who can foster development of change agents striving toward more inclusive athletic experiences. - Background in online teaching and supervision of graduate level research is preferred.
