Job Description:

In collaboration with the Head Coach, administer and manage all functions and oversight of the women&#8217;s basketball program. Provide an excellent, transformative student-athlete experience, demonstrate positive progress in competitive standing in the Landmark Conference, recruit studentathletes to the college and maintain roster standards (to be set annually by the athletic director).

Essential Job Functions:

65 % A. Women&#8217;s basketball coaching duties: provide basketball instruction, training, oversight; travel with team to competitions; ensure compliance with all institutional, conference, and NCAA standards; organize and conduct safe practice/training sessions.

25 % B. Recruit women&#8217;s basketball prospective student-athletes. The annual goal will be determined by the athletic director, in consultation with the head coach, and will be based on the current roster size, institutional priorities, and a three-year average of recruiting history.

5 % C. Engage in fundraising to supplement budgets and expenses; engage alumni network to maintain relationships and commitment to the program and institution. 5 % D. Other duties as assigned by Head Coach.

Education:

Required: Bachelor&#8217;s Degree

Professional Experience:

Required: Collegiate playing experience and demonstrated leadership

Preferred: Coaching experience

Additional Information:

The graduate assistant must successfully enroll as a full-time student in a Graduate Program. Qualified candidates must have at least an overall 3.0 undergraduate GPA to be considered for admission to the GPE.

This two year position is available beginning August 2026. The graduate assistant can work up to 20 hours per week and will require weekend and evening work, as well as some team travel. Compensation for this position will be offered as tuition remission and a stipend of $5,400.00 per semester. The successful candidate will be subject to a background check and driving record check as a condition of employment.

Job Description:

Goucher College seeks a graduate assistant for men&#39;s and women&#39;s swimming and aquatics. Goucher College fields 21 intercollegiate teams competing in the NCAA Division III as a part of the Landmark Conference. The graduate assistant will be responsible for coaching the Goucher College swim teams, instructing and promoting lessons and other aquatic related programs, assisting with the development and implementation of fundraising activities, and effectively recruiting and retaining qualified student-athletes.

Requirements:

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor&#39;s degree and a minimum of two years of driving experience on a state-issued license. Demonstrated knowledge and success in coaching swimming and organizational skills in the administration of aquatics is required. The successful candidate must also possess excellent written and oral communication skills in order to interact with a diverse constituency including student-athletes, coaches, athletic trainers, and athletic administration.

The graduate assistant must successfully enroll as a full-time student in the Graduate Programs in Education (GPE) with the area of specialization in Athletic Program Leadership and Administration. Qualified candidates must have at least an overall 3.0 undergraduate GPA to be considered for admission to the GPE.
