The Assistant Director contributes to written, visual, and digital storytelling across various platforms. Responsibilities include drafting press releases, institutional feature stories, student and alumni profiles, and athletics-related features; updating web content; assisting with social media planning and execution; and supporting video, photography, and other multimedia projects. The position collaborates with colleagues in Academics, Admissions, Advancement, Athletics, Student Life, and the Work Program to share content that strengthens recruitment, engagement, alumni relations, and institutional awareness. The role also contributes to institutional publications, including the alumni magazine and major College communications.
Preferred Qualifications:
? Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills, as well as familiarity with web content management systems, basic analytics, and digital storytelling tools.
? 2–5 years of experience in communications, digital media, journalism, sports information, or related fields;
? A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
? Experience with photography, video production, or multimedia content.
? Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and a focus on relationship-building are essential.
Salary range for this position is $50,000-$56,000.
