Summary
The general purpose of this position is to design and implement strength training and conditioning programs for varsity student-athletes.
Essential Functions
Design and implement strength training and conditioning programs for assigned sports.
Assist with workout implementation for a variety of sports.
Assist Director of Strength and Conditioning with all aspects of program administration.
Directly supervise and train interns/practicum students.
Coordinate training facility cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
Other Duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications The following Education is required:
Bachelors degree.
The following Education is preferred: Master’s Degree is preferred in Exercise Physiology or related field
The following Experience is required:
6 months strength and conditioning experience at the collegiate level or higher or managing a fitness center used by groups and individuals.
The following Certification is required:
C.S.C.S. Certification (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist)
Certification in Basic First Aid and CPR
Additional Information
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have the ability to work in the collegiate setting with collegiate athletes, coaches and other athletic department staff.
Excellent verbal communication skills
Very strong interpersonal skills
Knowledge of NCAA rules/regulations
Creativity
Proficient computer skills
Ability to manage a wide variety of people with broad backgrounds and experiences Certification in Basic First Aid and CPR.
