McNeese State University, a Division I member of the NCAA and the Southland Conference, is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong leadership, organization and technical skills for a full-time position of Assistant A.D. of Facilities and Game Management. This position will lead the Game and Facility Operations staff to implement goals and objectives as they relate to McNeese’s NCAA Division I athletics program, the Southland Conference and NCAA policies and procedures.
· Serve as the Event and Facility Manager for specific sports as well as delegating/supervising the assignment of sports to a staff.
· Coordinate and manage every aspect of athletic competition.
· Work with department staff, coaches, Director of Marketing and McNeese Athletic Foundation, to produce a high-quality game production.
· Work in conjunction with the campus facilities department all facility related processes including cleanliness, outside events, work orders, etc.
· Serve as a point of contact for the department on all capital projects to enhance the department.
· Develop and implement strategies to improve processes, systems, and facilities management.
· Works with the Director of Athletics and Deputy AD on event and facility operations
· Supervise a Full Time Employee, Athletics Graduate Assistants, Student Interns and Student Workers
· Other duties as assigned
3 years experience with game operations , event management, or facilities.
Thorough knowledge of game operations and event management, as well as Southland Conference and NCAA rules.
Ability to communicate with diverse audiences in a way they can and will effectively steward and advance the Athletics Department.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications and management skills.
Possess a valid driver's license, able to work in extreme weather conditions, and lift 50 pounds.
