- Works directly with the athletic departments 19 varsity teams in meeting departmental and programmatic fundraising goals; - Cultivating and soliciting gifts for annual and sport specific initiatives; - Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external individuals on special events, fundraising activities and donor stewardship initiatives; - Assist in the cultivation and soliciting gifts for endowments and capital expenses - Serve as liaison to and work in conjunction with University Advancement on current and future annual giving and fundraising initiatives. - Serve as liaison to the Champions Club and all related initiatives. - Day-to-day oversight of the Development Graduate Assistant and Interns/Student workers. - This position should have a knowledge of NCAA rules as it pertains to assigned job duties and the scope of employment. In addition, the individual will be responsible for obtaining proper guidance or approval from Athletics Compliance prior to participating in select activities, as defined by NCAA bylaws or institutional policies.

Minimum

• Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Previous demonstrated fundraising experience.
• Strong oral, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills, demonstrated integrity, and the willingness to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, coaches, staff, administration, campus partners and community members.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Perform all job duties in a manner consistent with NCAA, conference and University rules, regulations, ordinances, policies, procedures and guidelines.

Desired

• Previous experience in a college athletics development office. 
• Knowledge and understanding of applicable NCAA and Conference rules and regulations.
