Membership Coordinator-Special Projects The American Association for Justice (AAJ®), formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA®), is seeking to fill a Membership Coordinator for its Membership Department. AAJ seeks to promote a fair and effective civil justice system—and to support the work of attorneys in their efforts to ensure that any person who is injured by the misconduct or negligence of others can obtain justice in America’s courtrooms, even when taking on the most powerful interests.
AAJ is seeking a Membership Coordinator to: • Act as an in-house liaison to AAJ Regional Managers: supplying prospect lists, processing memberships, sending packages, and providing support when needed. • Track regional manager goals and conversion rates. • Maintain a calendar of regional, and caucus travel and events. • Help develop material for staff and officers in advance of their travel to state events. • Develop and implement a program for collecting information following officer and regional manager travel to help drive future decisions. • Work closely with an outside vendor to ensure marketing campaigns are successfully executed and monitor results. • Serve as liaison to state trial lawyer associations during the annual membership list exchange. • Create a process to notify states of the AAJ membership census state, sent on an ongoing basis. • Manage AAJ’s recruiter rewards program. • Assist with regional and caucus events as needed. • Support department efforts to engage with the Membership Oversight Committee and execute various membership projects of interest to the committee. • Answer membership phone lines in AAJ call center as needed. • Support additional special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelors’ degree in any field from an accredited college or university. • Minimum of 2 years of membership, customer service and/or project management experience. Prior association and/or non-profit experience preferred. • Working knowledge and experience in NetForum or similar Association Management System (AMS). • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). • Attention to detail. • Ability to work within a team environment, share the workload, and the ability to work independently. • Experience in managing multiple tasks within deadlines. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
