Columbia International University is a member of the NAIA, which successfully competes in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) in 12 sports. CIU is also a member and competes within the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA). Columbia International University is seeking four (4) qualified applicants for the positions of Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer. Applicants should be committed believers that have a personal relationship Jesus Christ. Responsibilities: Assist with the supervision and coordination of the University’s Sports Medicine program, including, but not limited to: •Injury prevention, evaluation, and treatment of athletic injuries •Short-term and long-term rehabilitation of athletic injuries •Communication and care of injuries with coaches, team physician(s) and other qualified medical personnel •A variety of emergency care and athletic coverage for a variety of sports programs •Responsible for other duties as assigned by Head Athletic Trainer Sport assignments include: Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Men’s and Women’s Volleyball, Cross Country and Track, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Baseball, and Softball. One GA will also be dedicated to Ben Lippen High School located on the same campus as CIU, assisting the head athletic trainer.
