South Dakota State University is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to serve as the Assistant Director of Ticket Sales and Operations. This role plays a key part in supporting the day-to-day operations of our athletic ticket office, with a focus on customer service, game day coordination, and revenue generation. The ideal candidate will be organized, team-focused, and eager to contribute to the success of Jackrabbit Athletics. This position is located in Brookings, South Dakota and is a 12-month, full-time, benefits-eligible position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree completed by date of application;
At least one year collegiate athletics and ticket sales and operations knowledge and/or experience;
General knowledge of and understanding of sales and marketing concepts;
Ability to work various hours including nights and weekends;
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal); and
Ability to be a self-starter and work independently.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous work experience in a sales environment, ticket office, university athletic department or sports organization;
Knowledge of ticketing software;
Proven history of working game days or for a collegiate or professional sports organization; and
