•Manage and update all compliance related software: ARMS, CAI Etc. •Assist in implementing the NCAA Complimentary ticket process for all home events •Assist in creating NCAA rules education materials for the athletic department and other campus entities •Manage UMaine compliance twitter and compliance tab on goblackbears.com •Assist in monitoring NCAA recruiting activities such as; campus visits, academic evaluations, off campus contacts •Work with Assistant Director on all beginning of the year required compliance forms •Identify and arrange for guest speakers and educational programs for student-athletes •Coordinate the senior gala for the athletic department •Assist in retrieving data for all NCAA, conference and audit reporting •Assist in all camp and clinic activities with coaches and staff •Create and update compliance-related forms and educational documents •Assist in monitoring the NCAA eligibility center and Institutional Request Lists •Work with coaches and staff members to ensure University policies and procedures regarding student-athletes are followed •Assist with various tasks assigned by assistant director of compliance and Associate Director of Compliance
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred in sport management, education or a related field.
A minimum of one-year compliance-related experience working at a Division I NCAA institution, conference office or national office. Internships and/or graduate assistantships will be considered.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills.
Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Working knowledge of NCAA rules and familiarity with the NCAA’s Compliance Assistant, Legislative Services Database applications and ARMS Software.
Experience in preparing and summarizing reports required.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other related software that allows for the efficient and effective preparation of reports preferred.
Ability to travel, normally requiring a valid driver’s license.
