The Football Digital Media Coordinator helps strategize, shape and execute the vision for all external communications regarding the Wisconsin football brand as a member of the Football Brand Communications group. Under the supervision of the Director of Football Digital Media, the Football Digital Media Coordinator is responsible for strategy, execution and content creation across all official Badger football social media channels.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required.
- Minimum of two years of sports social/digital media, marketing, communications, or relevant experience at the collegiate or professional level required;
- Experience developing communications strategies and content to appeal to a wide-ranging audience including potential, current and former student-athletes, fans, donors, sponsors, etc.;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to creatively tell stories about student-athletes, coaches and teams using various communications methods including social media, graphic design, video and written content;
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications to edit photo, video and graphic assets for use in social media;
- Working knowledge of social networking sites such as TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube and LinkedIn;
- Knowledge of social media platforms like Sprout Social, Spreadfast, Hootsuite, INFLCR, Opendorse and others;
- Strong organizational and analytical skills;
- Ability to proactively identify opportunities and quickly implement solutions;
- Ability to work with students, coaches and administrators in a broad range of situations;
- Willingness and ability to work long hours, including evenings and weekends;
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and guidelines and experience working in an atmosphere of NCAA compliance;
- Ability to develop and implement innovative approaches and solutions;
- Work well independently and in teams;
- Flexible in accepting new responsibilities
Conditions of Appointment: This is a 100% Academic Staff appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included.
